Banned Books: A Devised Performative Work

Working with banned texts, workshop participants create a devised performance for the stage. The script is created by the group’s chosen books, and through discussions and performative elements, actors devise an environment where a story is told. Performances are devised to respond to individual community engagement with schools, libraries, and the culture of place.

Other work includes Judge for the Maine State Drama Festival for Regional and State High School Theatre Competitions and initial development to establish The Sandy River Players Children’s Summer Theatre Camp, curator for numerous Flex Space exhibits, and initial managing Director for Emery Community Arts Center, including early site development and community engagement for performing arts.
